DR. DAVID STACHURA
Chief Scientific Officer
Dave began working at FACTORFIVE Skincare in 2020 as our chief scientific officer, specializing in creating our star ingredient, human stem cell conditioned media.
When and how did you decide to get into stem cell research?
I got excited about stem cells when I was a graduate student, and since then I have worked on them. Honestly, I have studied lots of different stem cells, and I am always amazed by all the different things we can learn from them.
What is your science background?
I have a BS in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University and a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. I completed my postdoctoral work at UC San Diego, and I am currently an Associate Professor at California State University, Chico.
Did you always love science?
Always–Even when I was a kid. My high school plan was to be a chemist. And honestly, being a biologist is pretty close–the world is basically all controlled by chemistry.
What do you love about working with FACTORFIVE Skincare?
I love using my knowledge of science and stem cells to really improve people's lives.
What’s your favorite FACTORFIVE product and why?
My favorite product is the regenerative serum. I love the smell of it, the feel of it, and the results that I see when I use it. I have been using it for a while now and really love the way it makes my skin feel and look.
What advice would you give to young people interested in science and technology?
Follow your passion, and work hard at it! It’s not easy, but the end result is great. My job is so rewarding–I get to discover new things all the time!
